  Okay, my daughters ages 9 and 11 are gymnastic addicts. They saved their allowances to buy a bar for $249 + shipping and handling. The bar arrived in a timely fashion, and I secretly put it together in the garage to surprise them (they've been calling the company wanting know when it would arrive and were all-around bursting at the seams in anticipation). It's made of solid materials and is of good quality--heavy steel, etc. The only problem is it's poorly designed. The obvious problem (that you would never know about until after the fact) is that the base is too short and, as such, the apparatus is NOT stable. You can only imagine the disappointment in my daughter's faces. But wait! The company has a solution! You can purchase, separately, base extensions for another $100 plus $20 shipping and handling!! This in the consumer protection world is known as the classic low-balling technique. Now, fortunately for us, I pull an Airstream trailer and have heavy duty torsion bars as part of our towing gear that essentially solves the stability issue sufficiently. But to the rest of you, beware! This is a faulty product!
